Blazenka is Croatian. She grew up in the Slavonia region in the interior of the country — far from the tourist beaches that fill Instagram — and studied law in Zagreb, where she lived for several years. She knows Croatia from the inside: the language, the rhythms, the food, what's not on the menu but should be.
Since moving to Denmark she and Bo have returned to the coast virtually every year. That gives a vantage point you rarely find in travel guides: half local, half outsider. Fluent enough to walk in the back door of Croatian family homes. Detached enough to understand what Danes and other travellers are actually looking for.
Bo is a systems developer from Frederiksberg, Copenhagen. He used to drive to Croatia in his Mercedes — diesel, then petrol — and switched to a Tesla in June 2023. Since then the route down through Europe from Denmark to the Adriatic has become second nature: charging stops, vignettes, the right rest areas, and when to just push on rather than stop for the night.
He is Blazenka's partner, takes most of the photos on the site, and co-authors everything about transport, Denmark, and the technical side of things.
"Lore" is the knowledge that isn't in the guidebook. The kind that only people who've been there a hundred times, lived there, or have family there possess. We collect it and write it down — so you don't have to spend your holiday discovering it the hard way.

We take every photo we can ourselves. But the site wasn't planned when we made many of our early trips — we're missing photographic documentation of a lot of practical details. In those cases we borrow images from Google Reviews or other public sources and always credit. All credits are collected at /photo-credits/.
